We absolutely love this school! One of the things I appreciate most is how small and intimate it feels. It has such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere, while still being very professional. The teachers are always warm and welcoming, and the owner is wonderful. From the beginning, she made me feel like I had known her for years, while always maintaining a very professional and caring environment.

Both of my children absolutely loved going here. My 3-year-old transitioned into Pre-K so easily, and I truly feel like this school played a big part in preparing her socially and academically for that transition.

My 2-year-old son has also had such a positive experience. He has never had an issue being dropped off, and he always greets me with a big smile when I pick him up—which says so much about how comfortable and happy he is there.

I’m so grateful for the love, care, and attention they have given both of my children. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We have been at Davenport Montessori from pre-K all the way to 5th grade. We loved it there, and our daughter always had a good time! Afterschool pick up was always timely, and it was such a huge help not having to worry about it knowing that our kid was in a safe and good place!! Highly recommended!

When I first wrote this review, my son had only been there two months so I wanted to go back and update the review since he has been there almost 2 years now. Wow, Soni (the owner/director) and Davenport Montessori have changed our lives. My son is 3.5 and his knowledge base continues to impress us. We get nonstop compliments on the way he articulates, writes, etc. He gets such care and attention at school, and it shows. Our baby girl now goes there as well, and she is so well loved also. The teachers at Davenport are our family, and we appreciate them all so much. They make it easy for us to work full-time and know our babies are not only cared for, but are learning a ton, way more than they would at any other "daycare" -- it truly is a school.

Davenport Montessori has taken care of both of babies since they were infants, starting around 3 months old, and I wish I had more kids to send them!

The biggest thing I love about Davenport is how intimate and personal it is (in the BEST way). Our youngest (11 mos.) has the same caregivers our oldest had 5+ years ago. Our oldest, now in elementary school, still loves to stop by to give his OG teachers a hug or share a big update.

For anyone considering Davenport, these are the things that have mattered most to us:

• Long-tenured, loving teachers. Ms. Nanette, Ms. Juliette, Ms. Medina, and Ms. Ellie all cared for our oldest and now care for our youngest. They know our family, remember our oldest, and were so excited to get “another [oldest].”

• A place where my kids are genuinely loved. As a FT working mom, this matters so much to me: If I can’t be the one caring for my babies all day, nothing gives me more comfort than knowing they are with people who genuinely LOVE them. My kids light up and grin EAR TO EAR when they see their teachers at drop-off and pickup. They are SO HAPPY to be there.

• Security is taken seriously. Entry passcodes are changed regularly, the kids have a private, high-fenced play yard, and every teacher knows you, your partner, and your child by name. You can also request an updated passcode at any time. Soni and the teachers clearly put the kids’ safety and well-being first.

• Direct, personal communication. Forgotten pacifier? Small concern? We get a quick, friendly call or text rather than having to check an app or wait for an email.

• Real enrichment and kindergarten preparation. As the kids get older, their days include stations, letters, numbers, shapes, workbooks, art, music, and outside play. Bonus: Ms. Ellie plays several instruments and can often be found serenading the kids on guitar, ukulele, or violin at pickup.

• They understand that every kid is different. Hard drop-offs were met with patience, familiar faces, and creative redirection. Our oldest was (and still is!) an incredibly picky eater, and they never made it an issue. After years of caring for all kinds of kids, they understand that children have individual needs and never make those needs feel like an inconvenience.

We’ve never felt like a number at Davenport. We’ve felt like family. After trusting them with our babies from infancy through pre-K, I can’t think of a better endorsement than that.

My kids love it at Davenport. Recently at Church a worker asked us if we practice tracing at home because he did such a good job on the artwork at Church. That’s totally attributed it Soni and her team for teaching him! We are big fans of this place!

We have been so blessed to have our twins at this daycare for the past year and a half. From day one, we felt welcomed, supported, and truly cared for. Mrs. Soni, the director, is absolutely amazing—her warmth, kindness, and dedication shine through in everything she does. The teachers are equally incredible: loving, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child’s happiness and growth. Our twins have thrived here, learning and growing in such a safe, nurturing environment. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for them to spend these early years, and we will always be grateful for the love and care they’ve received. This isn’t just a daycare—it’s a family. Highly recommend!

Our son has been going to Davenport since he was three months old. I was very nervous about sending him to childcare so young, but I needed to get back to work. The staff at Davenport are detailed oriented, caring, and knowledgeable. This has made my husband and I confident that our baby boy is in a safe, caring, and educational environment!!

We’ve been part of the Davenport Montessori family for nearly a decade, and I can’t say enough about the incredible care and education our children have received. The owner is truly one of a kind—loving, dedicated, and deeply invested in every child’s growth.

Our two boys, now 12 and 10, attended Davenport and entered kindergarten not only academically ahead, but also confident, kind, and curious—traits that continue to serve them well. Now our 4-year-old daughter is thriving there too. She comes home happy, loved, and engaged in learning every day.

The nurturing environment, thoughtful curriculum, and genuine care shown by the owner have made Davenport a second home for our family. We’re so grateful for the foundation she’s helped build in each of our children’s lives.

The best daycare! We took our daughter as an infant first to a large franchise daycare in the area and had a terrible experience. After being recommended Davenport by a friend, we couldn’t say more great things about this place. The teachers and director are the absolute best! My daughter loves them so much and you can tell how much they genuinely love all of the kids. The director is communicative, responsive and extremely hands on. The teachers are absolutely amazing. They cater individually to every child’s needs and keep parents informed. You won’t ever have to worry about your children being in great hands at Davenport.
